         <description><![CDATA[<div>Science, Evolution:<br>19th century a lot of advances were made in science, Stevenson refers to a lot of modern science in Dr Jekyll experiments which people hadn’t heard of and left them in awe. Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution created a lot of controversy as it conflicted with teachings of the church. Stevenson uses his theory to raise questions in his book about humanity and natural world. He uses evolution to portray Hyde as ‘a masked thing like a monkey’ creating a sense of animal behaviour.</div>]]></description>
