The caucus and the primary

The caucus is kind of a conference, it is spread across the US in a series of meetings. Often it´s only registered members of the party who can vote for the party´s candidate. But states can set their own rules.

The primaries is a process statewide. When the primaries start, there might be a lot of candidates from the same party fighting for the presidential nominee for the party. Throughout the process of the primaries the number of candidates decreases until only one is left. That person will then be the presidential nominee for the party. There are two types of primaries, open or closed. In the closed ones, the voters can only vote for their particular party. In open primaries, supporters of other parties can vote for other parties as well as their own.

Conventions

National conventions take place between July and September. At the conventions the parties announce their presidential candidate officially.

At the conventions the candidates give their ‘acceptance speech’. In these speeches, the candidates outline their goals, talk about themselves and their families and try to summarize what they will do if elected.

Today, the candidate is unofficially chosen long before the convention.

The electors and the “draw election” rules including new voting technique and the states congresses.

There are 538 electors across the USA. These electors are spread across the country and there to easier count all the votes. if for example, Clinton gets 50,1% of the votes in a state, all the electors in that state go to Clinton.

If the election is draw, and both Clinton and Trump gets 269 electors, the USA have a new system (which never happened). Now each state has only one vote, whatsoever. The candidate who gets 26 votes wins. If this election is draw again (25 vs 25) they just vote again until one candidate gets 26 votes.

NAM estimates a “ten-year funding gap” of approximately $1 trillion. The Trump Infrastructure Plan is aimed at achieving a target of investment to fill this gap. NAM also found that $8 billion in infrastructure tax credits would support $226 billion in infrastructure investment over 10 years. Innovative financing programs also provide a 10-to-1 return on investment.”
the fun fact about this key issue is that hillary clinton more or less agree with these terms but of course trump states that he will double the amount of money Hillary clinton wants to spent on this infrastructure plan.

According to the Wall Street Journal, “more than a dozen [energy infrastructure] projects, worth about $33 billion, have been either rejected by regulators or withdrawn by developers since 2012, with billions more tied up in projects still in regulatory limbo.” This includes coal and shale energy export facilities. Major pipelines are being blocked as well. As noted in the Wall Street Journal, blocking such projects “leaves some communities without access to lower-cost fuel and higher-paying jobs.”

The thing about this problem is that wall street have a big input on this because they claim that these infrastructures will come with a major downfall on the stocks for especially energy firms which can result in bankruptcy for the firms. and this is the reason why it is hard to make an infrastructure plan for this concrete issue.

Trumps vision:

Transform America’s bad standing infrastructure into a golden opportunity for accelerated economic growth and more rapid productivity gains with a deficit-neutral plan targeting substantial new infrastructure investments.

Provide maximum flexibility to the states.

Make clean water a high priority. Develop a long-term water infrastructure plan with city, state and federal leaders to upgrade aging water systems. Triple funding for state revolving loan fund programs to help states and local governments upgrade critical drinking water and wastewater infrastructure.

For example we have Fragging which is polluting the water because it releases dangerous natural gases and causes the water to be undrinkeble

Link increases in spending to reforms that streamline permitting and approvals, improve the project delivery system, and cut wasteful spending on boondoggles.

boondoggles is an expensive and wasteful project usually paid for with public money.

Tax Plan:

Reduce taxes across-the-board, especially for working and middle-income Americans who will receive a massive tax reduction.

Ensure the rich will pay their fair share, but no one will pay so much that it destroys jobs or undermines our ability to compete.

Eliminate special interest loopholes, make our business tax rate more competitive to keep jobs in America, create new opportunities and revitalize our economy.

Reduce the cost of childcare by allowing families to fully deduct the average cost of childcare from their taxes, including stay-at-home parents.

reduce the current seven tax brackets to three. less than 75.000: 12%- more than 75.000 but less than 225.000: 25%- more than 225.000: 35%. the brackets works the way that, if you Make leds than 75.000 a year, Then your tax will Be 12%.

Child Care:

All taxpayers would be able to create Dependent Care Savings Accounts (DCSAs) for the benefit of born or unborn children. He wants to rebuild the U.S. toward a capacity of 350 warships, as the National Defense Panel has recommended. He wants to provide the U.S. Air Force with 1.200 fighter aircraft. He also wants to grow the U.S. Marine Corps into 36 battalions. 1 battalion is between 400-1000 soldiers. Donald Trump also wants to build anti ballistic missile destroyers on all the Navy’s cruisers. Trump also wants to conduct a full audit of the Pentagon, eliminating incorrect payments, collecting unpaid taxes, and ending unwanted and unauthorized federal programs.

Key issue

While she was Secretary of State, the Obama Administration cut hundreds of billions of dollars from defense and ignored the warnings of their own Defense Secretary about the minimum defense budget necessary for national security.

That’s why Donalds wants to invest a lot more money in the national defence.
