Low levels of violent crime through much of the 20th century kept levels of public concern aboutfirearms low
-Because of a increase in several high-profile killing sprees and a media campaign, the Australian government coordinated more restrictive firearms legislation with all state governments. Gun laws were largely aligned in 1996 by the National Firearms Agreement.
-A 2004 study found that in the context of these laws, overall firearm-related deaths, especially suicides, declined dramatically. A 1995 study found preliminary evidence that gun control legislation enacted in Queensland, Australiareduced suicide rates there
-A person who possesses or uses a firearm must have a firearm licence. All firearms in Australia must be registered by serial number to the owner, who also holds a firearms licence.

USA
Gun politics is an area of American politics that is primarily defined by the actions of two groups: gun control and gun rights activists. These groups often disagree on the interpretation of laws and court cases related to firearms as well as about the effects of gun control on crime and public safety.[1]:7 It has been estimated that U.S. civilians own 270 million to 310 million firearms, and that 37% to 42% of the households in the country have at least one gun.[2][3]

In 2016, Obama called for a "sense of urgency" against gun violence[91] and made several changes to gun control enforcement,[92][93] including:

requiring a license and background check conduction for all gun distributors (cf. gun show loophole);

extended background check for guns and criminals record

The President candidates

Kim and Gebrehiwot

The United States presidential election of 2016, scheduled for Tuesday, November 8, 2016, will be the 58th U.S. presidential election. The first presidential election was held in 1789.
The two final candidates of this election are former first lady and secretary of state Hilary Clinton and businessman Donald Trump.
Trump became the Republican Party's presidential nominee on July 19, while Clinton becme the Democratic Party's presidential nominee on July 26.

Donald Trump: While most known for his Trump-hotels and reality show "The apprentice", businessman Donald Trump is now standing a big chance in moving into the white house and becoming the president of the united states in the period 2017-2020.

Donald Trump is a very controversial figure, but there are both advantages and disadvantes in having this man as president:

Advantages:
-Donald Trump is a businessman. He knows economy and people, and can actually help in creating more jobs in America. His business experience involves negotioations with business leaders and even governments around the world.
-He is very decisive. He has a confidence that (sometimes) tends to work in politics.

Disadvantages:
-He has repeadetly been accused of being utrustworthy, by investors and buyers as well as other. The accusations include allegations of fraud, lack of trust and corruption..
-He's repeatedly made comments that people felt had racial undertones (the great wall to Mexico).
-Trump's leadership in business has allowed him to push his demands through, and he has only been surrounded by yes-people. That means he doesn't have a big experience in building a team designed for purposes other that promoting his own agenda.

Hilary Clinton:
After defeating U.S. senator Bernie Sanders, clinton is the first female presidential candidate nominated by a major political party.
Different advantages and disadvantages about Clinton:

Advantages:
-She has 30 years of social service and political experience.
-She is more prepared and have some tangible plans.
- She is in favour of Obamacare, free college education and more taxes to the rich.

Disadvantages:
The main is that she is not trusted by the people. Especially after the private e-mails and Benghazi incident.

Conclusion:
