The Museum of Modern Art in New York is a public place where you don’t have to ask for permission to enter, but you must not try to touch the paintings. Moreover, respect for others is important. If someone is looking at an artwork for a long time, you must respect that situation. This museum is quite interesting because it exposes you to the most important aspects of contemporary art, and you should feel proud to visit it. What would be the limits so that you must respect the artworks and must not do things that are not allowed?

The international Women’s Day it’s a date to remember the importance of gender equality, and the history of women and their fight to have their rights respected throughout history.

In the past, women didn’t have the same rights they have in the present; in terms of their legal rights, women couldn’t vote, couldn’t own property or sign contracts in their own names. About the educational rights, women had limited access to higher education or were often couldn’t have the same quality of education as men. Likewise, in terms of economic rights, women faced significant barriers to employment, they couldn’t access to the same jobs as men and received lower salaries for the same work.

Today, the gap between men's and women's rights is reducing, but depending on the country and the social situation, women still face and have to fight for the unequal rights that persist. The most notable differences today are salary inequality, workplace discrimination, access to education in some countries, and mainly must fight against the violence and safety.

Many countries around the world continue join efforts through policy changes and promoting education and gender equality, to one day close these gaps.

The cholitas in Bolivia must train hard to compete in Lucha Libre because the sport requires both, strength and acting skills. They have to perform in matches against both men and women, which can be very challenging. In past, they had to face a lot of critique, as society did not accept women in wrestling. However, now they don’t have to hide their passion for the sport, since they are accepted and celebrated.

During wrestling, they can wear their traditional skirts, which is an important part of their identity. However, they must not break the show’s entertainment rules and storylines. They can’t expect to earn a lot of money from wrestling, so many of them sell merchandise. Despite the physical risks, they may continue fighting to inspire women and change stereotypes.

To be part of this event, they must wear their colorful skirts, shawls, and hats because it represents their culture. They can choose their wrestling style, but they do not have to follow strict rules like other wrestlers. They should train to perform well and stay safe, but they do not have to change their appearance or traditions. This shows that they can be strong and entertaining athletes while keeping their identity alive.

Las Cholitas are a female fight group in Bolivia. To be a “Cholita” a woman may or may not be daughter of wrestlers. They practice wrestling for fun and also with the intention of showing a different side of indigenous women. They can wrestle once a week and can earn 10 american dolars per event. Las Cholitas had to make the official merchandise to supplement the incomes of the fights. These wrestles are predeterminated and they just have to act the fight. Before President Morales, bolivian women were not allowed to practice this sport, but when he became the head of state, he let them participate.

In 1899 you had fewer options for buying a car than today. There were three options: first the steam-powered car, second a car powered by gasoline, and the last option a battery-powered vehicle.

The first option was less efficient than the others, because it needed a continuous supply of water and required time to generate steam. The second option the car powered by gasoline was more dangerous than the others because it required a hand-cranking to start, and it was noisier and more polluting due to its foul-smelling exhaust. And finally, the battery powers vehicle was the best option, as its starter faster, was cleaner and quieter than the other two options.

With oil discoveries, gasoline prices fell, and the advances in the gasoline car engines made these vehicles more popular and cheaper than the electric cars for many years, until today.

Today the electric cars and the environmental awareness have evolved, making them the best option for being more environmentally friendly.

The day had arrived and I was full of excitement. I had bought tickets to visit my family in Barranquilla for Holy Week. I arrived at the airport early, ready to see my parents after a long time.

But when I checked my Ticket, I froze. I realized I had made a huge mistake, I had bought the tickets the wrong way around. Instead of flying from Bogotá to Barranquilla, I had booked them from Barranquilla to Bogotá.

I was scared. The airport was packed with people because it was high season, and I had no idea what to do. But then, I found the customer service desk and spoke to an agent. I explained everything and waited nervously.

Luckily, they helped me. I paid a fee to change the tickets, but it wasn't as expensive as I thought. I felt so relieved. Finally, I boarded the correct flight and flew to Barranquilla.

When I arrived, my family were happy to see me, and of course, they scolded me for being so distracted. We laughed about it, and I promised myself to always double check my bookings from now on.

We had no experience, and we started the hike carrying all the water and food ourselves. It was so hard that we got really tired.

When we arrived, the cold was so intense that, when we opened the tents, we realized they weren’t the right kind, nor were the sleeping bags.

During the night, the wind was so strong that the cold became unbearable.

When we woke up, everything was completely white, it had snowed all night.

My family and I planned to go to Monserrate. It was going to be the first time I visited that place. That Sunday we woke up early but we got there late. The parking lot was full and while we found a spot to park the car, it got even later.

It was 8 or 9 a.m. when we finally began to go upstairs. My aunt and I were talking as we climbed. We passed through the turnstiles and then we made a pause to wait for the other ones. Until that moment I was feeling good, but then I started to see blurry, my legs were numb, my heart was beating very quick and I fainted.

My aunt held and help me. I could not stand on my own and I felt weak, but at the same time I heard voices saying something in the distance. After a while, I got a little bit better. A strange man gave me bocadillo and he shared his bottle of water with me.

When I got up from the floor, I looked terrible with my pale skin and my purple lips. Of course, everyone was watching me and I was so embarrassed. We end up visiting the church but we waited almost 2 hours in order to take the funicular and get there. Also, the weather was so cold. That was a long day for me. Now it is funny, but at that moment all I wanted was to go home and sleep.

When I was a child, my family and I went on a trip to some hot springs near Bogotá. There was a large pool, or at least for me it was.

At that time, I didn't know how to swim, so I liked to stay in the shallow end. That day, my father decided to teach me how to swim and started the lessons with easy exercises. Up to that point, everything was going well. But then he tried to teach me how to float, and he thought the pool wasn't that deep. Then, suddenly, he let me go, and I went straight to the bottom.

I was there for a few seconds, which for me felt like an eternity. Fortunately, he pulled me out, but that made me very afraid of water for many years, until, during college, I took a class and learned to swim.

This was a traumatic experience for me and for my father, but today we laughed about that old experience.

Antoni Gaudí (born June 25, 1852, Reus, Spain—died June 10, 1926, Barcelona) was a Catalan architect and designer from Spain, known as the greatest exponent of Catalan Modernisme, whose distinctive style is characterized by freedom of form, voluptuous color and texture, and organic unity.

Gaudí was born in provincial Catalonia on the Mediterranean coast of Spain. He was the son of a Coppersmith who was to live with him in later life. Gaudí never married. Showing an early interest in architecture, he went in 1869/70 to study in Barcelona. He did not graduate until eight years later.

Gaudi completed many interesting projects mainly in Barcelona, but the most important and well known buildings are his two multistoried Barcelona apartment buildings: the Casa Batlló (1904–06), and the Casa Milá (1905–10). As was typical of his practice, he designed the two buildings, in their shapes and surfaces, as metaphors of the mountainous and maritime character of Catalonia.

But his main work and religious symbol of the Renaixensa in Barcelona was the Sagrada Família, a project that occupied Gaudí throughout his entire career. He was commissioned to build this church as early as 1883, but he never saw it completed. After 1910 he abandoned virtually all other work and even went so far as secluded himself on its site and resided in his studio. In 1926, Gaudí was struck down by a trolley car, and he died from the injuries just a few weeks before his 74th birthday. After Gaudí’s death, work on the Sagrada Família has continued to this day. Several of Gaudí's buildings have been recognized as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Gaudí's work continues to inspire architects and artists, and his unique style has had a profound impact on modern architecture.

I chose Alex Honnold because my daughter Julieta saw him climb, and since that day, she started climbing indoors. This weekend, she climbed on real rock for the first time. Alex Honnold was born in 1985 in California. He started climbing when he was a child and trained every day. He lived in a van for many years and traveled to different places to climb. In 2017, he climbed El Capitan without ropes and became very famous. His story inspired many people, including my daughter.

Yesterday morning, I left home relatively early, thinking I would arrive at work on time. But things went wrong immediately. It started to rain and the Transmi I usually took arrived extremely late, and the line of people waiting was ridiculously long. When the Transmi doors finally opened, everyone rushed in desperately and people had smell terribly. By the time I arrived at the office, I was completely drained and all before 9 a.m.

Unfortunately, yesterday I had a terrible journey to my work. I was running late, so I left home and grabbed my bike to start riding, but it immediately started raining. I tried to ride as fast as I could and then something else happened to me: a car hit me so hard. Luckily, I was not hurt, but my bike was destroyed. The driver was very nice and he offered me a new one because coincidentally, he owns a bicycle shop. This new bike is extremely fast and modern, much better than the one that I had before.

Last Friday I had to go to my office in Bogota, so I woke up early, but this time I wanted to exercise intensely, so I went by bike.

In the way from my house to Bogota, the cycle route is good until 170 street, after this point, I frequently use the road lane, over the north highway because the cycle route suddenly disappears, or it´s damaged in several points over the pedestrian walkway.

Everything was going well until suddenly it started to rain heavily, so I tried to ride quickly and carefully, but when I was near my office, a car hit my bike. Fortunately, I wasn’t hurt, because I fell smoothly, and also I always wear equipment like a helmet and gloves to avoid injuries. The driver got out quickly of his vehicle and apologized repeatedly, and He told me if I want a new bike, because he is the owner of a bicycle shop, I was really surprised.

Finally, I decided to accept his offer, so the next day I went doubtfully to the bicycle shop, and surprisingly the shop was real and had really good bikes, so I chose one much better than my old bike.
