Observation: Wolves are populous in Yellowstone and they are very useful for researchers and scientists looking to understand what wolves are like and how they are important in the ecosystem.
I: Wolves have a large impact in ecosystems and are important to the whole Yellowstone ecosystem, and they are likely important to many other ecosystems in Wyoming.
Q: Why are wolves so important towards ecosystems when there are other animals like bears that seemingly do the same thing as them?

O: Wolf populations are at a stable level and so are Elk populations in Yellowstone.
I: The reintroduction of wolves has allowed these animals to reach an equilibrium where they both have a steady population, and without it this would not have happened.

When the wolves in yellowstone were all, or mostly killed, the elk population grew, and more plants were consumed. This over-consumption of plants lead to many trees and shrubs, like aspens, to almost not exist inside the park any more. Wolves clearly have a impact on the entire ecosystem of  Yellowstone , and without them the system can fail.

I noticed that humans hunting the elk with government control harmed to elk population more so that the wolves, with no control, hunted elk.
