Holland would achieve further recognition after being selected to play the character of Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where he starred in the films Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), both of which received critical acclaim and were box office hits.
