Both characters have intense personalities and are drawn to each other in varying degrees. Darcy confesses his ardent love for Elizabeth who is shocked. Both of their performances here are outstanding in imparting deep emotions through facial expressions, tone and gestures. It is crazy how fake characters in a children’s movie can be so realistic and make us so involved in their lives. I think Hamlet (if he didn’t hate women so much) would see this and maybe long for the type of connection they had and also relate to the sadness of the death of a loved one.

A young boy is separated from his adopted family as they are sent to concentration camps and he will never see them again. This loss consumes his life and affected the way he lived. Like Hamlet, the loss of his family left him lost and confused.
