Many of my aunts, uncles, and cousins have gotten married there. I was incredibly close to my grandma growing up, and when she passed away and was cremated, her ashes were placed in a handmade urn made from a tree that grew on the family farm. My uncle who made the urn also made a lot of votive candle holders out of the same tree and gave them to everyone. We light the candle in that holder for every holiday and life event.

I pivoted to studying directing because I was determined to make a difference. A difference in the stories being told, a difference in the type of people that I cast in my shows, and the message that I spread. I love directing now, and I still act from time to time. I love directing dramas, especially period pieces, and directing and acting in Shakespeare and dramatic musicals.

I am a very anxious person, and I plan things out meticulously, and I think that that will help me in the classroom, but it will also be difficult because I struggle to pivot once those plans have been made.

Students are far more likely to succeed if they are given the correct tools. If a student has an understanding of the vocabulary, style, and conventions that are used in the writings, they are better able to understand the content of that writing

Theatre often references itself, so it is important to understand what the piece is about and why it is so influential. It is difficult to consume theatre, especially live theatre, as it is a temporary art form that isn't always documented, and tickets can be expensive.
