Common themes I've heard are Keep trying, Always Be Yourself, and Never give up. I've seen these themes in the end of book and movies. Especially when they are trying to teach the character a lesson.

Some of the common themes that I have seen through out movies and books are like don't give up and learn from your mistakes. In Dr. Seuss, How The Grinch Stole Christmas he learned a lesson at the end, that Christmas in greater than other things
