This is the life cycle of a Peregrine falcon. First comes the egg that the mother is nesting on a hilltop. Next the chick forms inside the egg which is called incubation. The eggs hatch and after they hatch the female joins hunting with the male. When the chick's fur is replaced with feathers they learn to fly. Their first flight is 39 to 49 days. The chicks will be full grown in 6 weeks.

In the 20th century they became an endangered species. They became endangered because they were poisoned by DDT pesticides. Peregrine's populations were in steep decline in the 20th century. People used DDT for their crops so their crops don't get any bugs. They stopped using DDT so the Peregrine Falcon was taken off the endangered species list.
