This book is pretty good. Mycroft (Sherlocks brother) is blamed for murder. They then find out that the person killed himself. The whole time they are trying to figure out who set up the murder. This book is full of action and thrill. Mark of the plague is a great book to read if you like science and puzzles. It is full of mystery and this book will definitely make you want to keep reading. It begins in London, England  in the middle of a deadly plague. Chris is a masterless apprentice living with his best friend Tom. Chris is visited by an old friend of his master named Isaac and he tells him that Chris's master had left him treasure. Shocked, Chris was determined to find it. This book was a wonderful mix of spooky supernatural forces and mysterious suspenseful action. I loved it and would recommend it to any lover of ghosts. This book is full of suspense the second the book starts. Mr. Crepsly and his assistant Darren Shan  are both vampires hiding in a traveling circus called Cirque du Freak. Darren is actually a half vampire so he can go out in sunlight but still needs blood to live. Mr. Crepsly decides to go to the city and says Darren can bring somebody with him and he chooses Erva, a boy with scales and is cold blooded. Once they get to the city Mr. Crepsly is gone all night and sleeps all day. Then one night a emergancy news report happens and apparently they were drained of blood. Mr. Crepsly is the only vampire around, is he the killer or is something much more sinister happening?

They are full of mischief, and like stealing and battle with the local toughs. But that changes when a kid named Stephen Rose comes to town. Father O'mahoney asks them to befriend him. Stephen see's something in Dave and he shows Dave his power in making sculptures very lifelike and then he shows how he can turn clay alive. They make a clay sculpture and turn it alive. Stephen only has the power to stop him. 
This book is very bad, and boring. It disappointed me in many ways. I expected more ;(
