State Farm: "Like a Good Neighbaa" Super Bowl Commercial

There were tons of big-name celebrities in Super Bowl ads this year. I think that this State Farm ad did a good job of balancing star power, nostalgia, and humor. These are effective ingredients for a memorable Super Bowl ad, where the stakes are so high.

Disney+ Super Bowl 58 Spot

I really enjoyed this ad because it was creative and simple. It left a memorable mark because as soon as the first quote appeared on the screen I knew what the ad was about. The ad got straight to the point and still appealed to my emotions. I believe that no other company would be able to replicate this ad because Disney has such iconic quotes that are recognized worldwide.

CeraVe Super Bowl Commercial

I chose this CeraVe ad with Michael Cera because of how funny and out there it was. I think this commercial was hilarious and it's one of the only ads that I remember and one that I've seen a lot of people talk about on social media. It does a great job of explaining the benefits of CeraVe but in a very dramatic way for example, with Michael climbing a mountain and rubbing CeraVe on it and the mountain immediately becoming moisturized, which I thought was genius, or with the narwhal complimenting how moisturized his skin looked. This has become one of my favorite ads of all time as I like how CeraVe wasn't taking themselves too seriously.

Oreo Super Bowl Commercial (Logan Mitchell)

I chose this ad because it takes an interesting approach into the product necessity of Oreo. The concept "Twist on It" is conveyed through various moments in history from the Trojans all the way to the beginning of the Kardashian's reality show. It comes off as humorous because Oreo decided to use their cookie as a way to determine the fate of history. It also downplays the seriousness of situations such as war. This ad does a good job of reminding viewers that Oreo will continue to be an iconic cookie and it is essentially timeless.

This was one of my favorite commercials from this year's Super Bowl. Reese's announces that there will be a big change to the iconic Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. I really enjoyed this ad because it was creative and funny and also did not include any celebrities. The ad was straight to the point and you knew exactly what company this ad was for. I genuinely laughed out loud at this ad.
