We were by each other’s side. When Jamie became diagnosed in April of 2012 I was there every step of the way. I became one of her caregivers, I moved in for a few weeks, after she passed in Sept. of 2012 I vowed to continue her fight, to continue to be her voice, to still be by her side, as we always was. The world lost one of the most caring people I’ve ever known and I miss her everyday. Still fighting for you Jamie! He was blessed to be eligible for surgery after his initial diagnosis in 2005. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2008 after his cancer returned. We miss him every day and we run to honor him. He was a retired MSGT in the US Air Force and served his country for 20 years. My mom was a beautiful soul that truly judged no one and loved unconditionally. After fighting arduously for 375 she lost her battle with pancreatic cancer. 

My college sponsor, Mr Posey was an amazing man and philanthropist..

They are both the reason why I fight for more awareness of this awful disease.

With the help from his amazing doctors and nurses at MD Anderson in Houston and several months of chemo and radiation, his last scans showed very little evidence of any cancer remaining!  It definitely has not been easy, but the strength and resiliency he has shown gives us hope for the future! She fought so hard but lost her battle in March 2017. 5 months. In 5 months this beautiful soul was taken at the age of 60. 

Janie had the biggest heart, her smile could light up any room. She never met a stranger and would often give her last dollar to any child or single mother in need. She was BEYOND special, she was the closest thing to an angel on earth. 

 We would spend every weekend shopping and brunching. It's STILL hard to go to a store and shop without her. We spoke AT LEAST 3 times a day - what I would give to get one last call.
She loved her family, especially her grandkids and grand dogs.

She was my best friend, the sister I never had, my Matron of Honor - MY WORLD.

A few weeks ago, we ran out of treatment options. PanCan played an important role in giving support and hope throughout his journey. His brother, my Uncle, passed away 4 years ago from Pancreatic Cancer. Their cousin passed away from Pancreatic Cancer. One of My cousin’s wife’s parents passed away from this ruthless disease. We haven’t found the genetic link. We haven’t found treatment that does anything more than marginally extend our time.
