Mathematics is excellent for your brain: To make our bodies stay fit, we do exercise, in the same way, to keep our brain healthy and active, we need to do brain exercise. Mathematics plays an important role in brain development and analytical skills.

Mathematics is the language of the universe: It is the only language in the world that is universally understood across different cultures, countries and languages. It can be found everywhere around us, if we look closely, we can observe that math is present even in nature, for example even insects use mathematics in their everyday life: spiders make geometric webs and bees build hexagonal combs.

Mathematics helps us obtain better problem-solving skills: It helps us think analytically and have better reasoning abilities. Mathematics is what make you a good problem solver.

Mathematics has real-world applications: Everything that we study about math can be used in your day-to-day life. Are you going to be purchasing a house? Navigating percentages and mortgage rates is directly related to understanding mathematics basics. Do you regularly use a computer and social media? Mathematics is embedded into computer technology, and it would not exist without it.

Mathematics is like learning a foreign language. Not everyone is made for learning mathematics, generally speaking people tend to stay away from it, but I believe that everyone should at least, learn the basics of mathematics. Seemingly impossible feats are achieved, like landing on the moon, or building a skyscraper, without mathematics, none of this would be possible.

Where do we use maths everyday?

Mathematics helps us in managing money and making a routine budget, and assists  us to figure out the best ways to save and invest money.

Stores often have sales to give a percentage off an original price, so with the appropriate skills we can calculate discounts and we can buy that item for the best price offered.

Geometry and trigonometry can help improve sport skills, for instance: finding the best way to hit the ball, make a basket or run around the track.

As fashion, as any kind of designing requires mathematical applications, just like ratios, percentages, geometry or just the basic mathematical operations.

When you have a recipe for 4 people, but you have to cook for 6, you need to use ratios and percentages to measure the right quantity of ingredients.

Managing time is one of the sources of stress nowaday, and there are some people who also can not read the analog clock. These kinds of problems can be solved by knowing the basic mathematical concepts. With this we can not only understand the management of time, but also to value it. 

So we can not say, I am not going to study maths ever! Everything which is going around us is somehow related to maths only.

We all heard explanations for at least some of these, but one of the most powerful benefits of learning mathematics is the logical mindset. 

 As powerful as it may be, it is hard to prove its usefulness in our day to day life.

However there is a way to showcase this mindset, for example the story with Abraham Wald during the Second World War. This idea didn’t pop out of my head so I won’t talk about it as my idea, let’s look at the source :). 

 

To see the full beauty of an equation, take a look at the most basic one: Pythagoras theorem.
What does he say? What is the relationship between the three sides of a right triangle.
Why is it important? It makes a vital connection between geometry and algebra, which allows us to we calculate the distances in terms of coordinates. It also inspired trigonometry, a new field of mathematics, from a simple triangle.
What did it lead to? Topography, navigation and more recently, in special and general relativity - those the best theories of the moment regarding space, time and gravity.
If you ask any student to tell you the name of a famous mathematician assuming he had heard of one, he would most often opt for Pythagoras. If not,  it is possible that Archimedes came to mind. Even the brilliant Isaac Newton remains the second violin position in front of these superstars of the ancient world. Archimedes was an intellectual giant and Pythagoras probably was not, but he deserves more credit than is often granted. Not for what he accomplished, but for what he set in motion.
And this is the beauty of mathematics: you can take something as simple as a right-angle triangle and turn it into an equation used by everyone: from the ancient Egyptians to grade 5 students to rocket engineers. Needles to say, the world wouldn't be the same without mathematics and its equations: from Pythagoras theorem to Schrödinger's equation and Chaos theory. That is why mathematics is the queen of all sciences: it gives us a model that shapes everything around us and makes us understand the world. And who knows? I see math more like one dominant universal language helping humans explain their intuitions and understand the world.

Indeed, any job requires math because you need to know how to interpret your salary and balance your budget.
Also, I was thinking about when we use math in real life and there are many ways we use math everyday.
1.Chatting on the cell phone

Chatting on the cell phone is the way of communicating for most people nowadays. It's easy, accessible and cost effective. Every one has a cell phone and it requires a basic knowledge of skill and math. You need to know numbers and how they work, and with today's technology you can do basically everything on your cell phone, from talking and faxing to surfing the Internet.

2.In the kitchen

Baking and cooking requires some mathematical skill as well. Every ingredient has to be measured and sometimes you need to multiply or divide to get the exact amount you need. Whatever you do in the kitchen requires math. Even just using the stove is basic math skills in action.

3.Gardening

Even doing something gardening requires a basic math skill. If you need to plant or sow new seeds or seedlings you need to make a row or count them out or even make holes. So even without thinking you are doing math. Measuring skills is always needed, and calculations of the essence when doing something new in the garden.

4.Arts

When doing any form of art you are using math. Whether you're a sculptor, a painter, a dancer or even just doing a collage for fun, you will need to be able to measure, count and apply basic math to it. Every form of art is co-dependant upon math skills.

5.Keeping a diary

Keeping a diary has become an essential part of our daily lives. We run from place to place and appointment to appointment. Making appointments and having a time schedule that works for you requires math. Without a diary we will crash and burn. Some people even have to make appointments to take some time out. Math is a much needed skill in today's life.

   ◼Budgeting: managing money, understanding discounts, and buying for the best price

   ◼Sports: score, time, strategizing to win

   ◼Cooking: with a knowledge of math, for example, you can quickly deduce that a half-cup of flour is the same thing as eight tablespoons of flour.  This can prove handy if you find that your half-cup measure is missing.  Likewise, if you are cooking from a recipe that serves 4 people, but you need to feed 8 people, your math skills tell you that you can simply double all of the necessary ingredients.  Without math, you may not have enough food (or have too much food) to feed your guests

   ◼Exercising and Dieting : we set our routine according to our workout schedule, count the number of repetitions while exercising, etc., just based on math.

   ◼Driving: distance traveled, the shortest route to take to reach a destination

  ◼ Home Decorating:  interior designing seems to be a fun and interesting career. A lot of mathematical concepts, calculations, budgets, estimations, targets, etc., are to be followed to excel in this field. Interior designers plan the interiors based on area and volume calculations to calculate and estimate the proper layout of any room or building.

I think it is impossible to limit the uses of mathematics in everyday life so we will suffice with some of them:

 🔹Can you practice any sport without using numbers to learn if you are a winner or a loser?

 🔹Can you do your work without using the numbers? If you are a teacher, collect your students' marks or a doctor, estimate the amount of medicine for the patient or an engineer, estimate the amount of raw material to be added to complete the work or even a leader in a battle. 

 🔹Can you enter the store without using the numbers?

 🔹Can prayers be organized without the use of numbers, and what is left of the time for the next prayer?

And much more, whatever you try, you cannot get rid of the use of this important science.
Math is a tool in our hands to make our life smoother. The more mathematical we are in our approach, the more rational would be our thoughts. It’s time to understand the importance of the subject and enjoy the beauty of it.

First of all I consider that everyone should learn math, not necessarily at a professional level, just the basics, which is enough for everyday life. For example , in a store, we benefit if we can add, subtract, multiply or  for a recipe, it is important for us to be able to distinguish the gram from the kilogram.

Secondly our logical skills also can develop by doing math exercises. For example understanding the pythagorean theorem is not important because of the formula, but because it helps us to understand different logical contexts such as on a construction site, it is very important to know how long a beam should be in order for it to hold the roof.

However, it is true that some math teachers forgot to show their students the beauties of mathematics. This is why many children think that math makes no sense.
  In my opinion knowledge of mathematics is necessary for all people because it helps to develop our problem-solving skills and not to mention the exciting world this science presents us.

One such example is what is going on right now. The very thing that we look at numerous times of the day and is attached to us at the hip. The one main thing that is are smartphones. Smartphones collect all sorts of data on you, such as how far you travel, photos your take and post on social media, things you buy a line, such as Amazon, like the day and other online vendors. All of this can be summed up in one word: data.

Data is the crux of almost everything in everyday life these days. It is keen to appoint or almost everything we do can be summed up in one or more sets of numbers. Because of that, companies drive in work very hard to make sense of this data that they collect off of us as consumers. This means they need programmers, colors, and developers that can make sense of these numbers. In only do that so that programming can be summed up than one word: math. Mathematics-especially algebra, hope so as generalize number patterns and express as ever in a way so that we can use them for any case or situation. But as a whole reason for why we have variables to be honest because we do not know what those variables represent. The variables represent numbers we do not know, or you might consider it has place holders for numbers that we do know in which the final results are after clicking them in.

Geometry is important because it helps us make sense and organize our thinking in terms of spatial reasoning and. Spatial reasoning in terms of property, designing and developing objects or things that are meant to contain something such as fuel. It helps us make sense of miles per gallon, distances between location or objects.

Statistics is a big field because it helps us make room more sense only a chaotic set of data. It helps us make connections and correlations between certain populations or things. Sometimes it is not as clear-cut as we wished for it to be, but in my opinion anyway, it is the best tool we have.

Mathematics is used to study the extent of population growth by environmental scientists, and the extent of population density. 

 

Mathematics always has been of central importance to astronomy.

Mathematical developments were applied to and motivated by astronomical calculations. 

 

Mathematics and music are already connected and we usually use numbers and mathematics to describe and teach music. Understanding fractions and ratios helps to understand the rhythm of musical notes.

 

The calculation of spaces is important in painting. When the wall is painted, for example, there is a need to calculate the amount of paint needed to perform this process.

 

Mathematics is used to measure sample fabric for fittings as well as to keep sizes consistent.

 

Everything you do inside or outside the house needs mathematical skills. Whether you're painting, doing the flooring, designing a new swimming pool, setting up new lighting, or just getting new furniture, you need math to make your sums add up.

Mathematics is for all. The popularity of Sudoku is evidence that people can do mathematics (without knowing it) and enjoy it too. In mathematics, like art or music, there have been the geniuses. There are everyday and advanced items, pure and applied mathematics, abstract and concrete, the old and the new. Mathematics though is one united subject.

Let's take some particular examples.
Math and genetics cross-fertilize and enrich each other. Mathematics is indispensable in studying genetics. From the basic geometry of the spirals of DNA and the potentially sophisticated Hardy–Weinberg law, mathematical models dealing with many characteristics (not just eye-colour) including male–female differences and also non-random mating have been developed. The science of genetics has also repaid the compliment to mathematics by suggesting new branches of abstract algebra of interest for their intriguing mathematical properties.

In The Da Vinci Code, the author Dan Brown made his murdered curator Jacques Saunière leave behind the first eight terms of a sequence of numbers as a clue to his fate. It required the skills of cryptographer Sophie Neveu to reassemble the numbers 13, 3, 2, 21, 1, 1, 8 and 5 to see their significance. Welcome to the most famous sequence of numbers in all of mathematics-The Fibonacci sequence. The characteristic feature which defines them  is that every term is the addition of the previous two. The Fibonacci sequence is found in nature as the number of spirals formed from the number of seeds in the spirals in sunflowers (for example, 34 in one direction, 55 in the other), and the room proportions and building proportions designed by architects. Classical musical composers have used it as an inspiration, with Bartók’s Dance Suite believed to be connected to the sequence.

In the end, as we have seen, maths is ever-present in many aspects of our daily life, in nature, art, music, genetics, even in making the right decision. So let’s consider it a very old friend!

Math has been helping our mental health, keeping our brains active and improving our logical thinking every single day since the day we born and is going to keep helping us until the day we die.  Math is everywhere around us even if we like it or not and basic math skills should be learned by every single person in this world. 

To sum everything up, math is doing more good to our lives than we can imagine.

even the most mundane activities we do, or whatever small it may be,

can be reproduced mathematically, by various methods. These are just a few things we need math:
