We put on a small theater play inspired by the story of "The Gray Wizard trying to destroy the seasons."

Through this activity, our children realized the importance of unity and protecting nature.

They learned that if children are conscious, the order of the seasons will remain intact and what they need to do to maintain the balance of nature. Then, with unplugged coding activities, we overcame the "Gray Wizard" obstacle and saved the seasons! Our little ones designed their own coding pages and practiced problem-solving step-by-step.

This activity is an excellent coding and decoding exercise using a simple visual code, suitable for preschoolers, developing their logical thinking, shape recognition and attention to detail.
Each pumpkin (jack-o'-lantern) image, which looks a little different (smiles, face shapes), is associated with a certain geometric shape or symbol (circle, triangle, square, arc of a circle/semicircle).
Preschooler task (Coding):
• Children should look at each row of pumpkin images (bottom rows).
• Under each pumpkin, they should draw the geometric shape that encodes that pumpkin, according to the established key.
Discussions can be held about shapes (what shape it is, what it is called), about pumpkins (why it is used on Halloween, what it looks like) and about the rule they applied (why they drew the circle under that pumpkin).

We restored autumn, one of the seasons lost by the Gray Wizard, to its original colors with Code Week's coding activity. 🍂

Elevii clasei Pregătitoare C, de la Școala Gimnazială ”Lucian Blaga”, Baia Mare s-au întrecut în codare, cu ocazia Săptămânii codării, realizând un desen cu Vulpea, în cadrul lecției de Științe - Animalele sălbatice din țara noastră. Ei au învățat numărul și cifra 4 la matematică prin codare. La lecția Anotimpurile, au decupat și suprapus peste culorile indicate imaginile specifice, tăind intrușii fiecarui anotimp.

As part of EU Code Week, our students took part in a creative pixel art coding activity using zapplycode.it. Their mission: to bring back the lost colors of autumn!

Acting as digital detectives, they interpreted lines of code and used them to complete a pixel board with the correct colors. Step by step, the hidden picture was revealed — a beautiful autumn tree in warm seasonal shades.

Through riddles, clues, and code, our young coders learned how programming can be both fun and artistic, combining logic, teamwork, and creativity to solve the mystery and restore autumn’s magic!
