  • Shopping for grocery, cooking and eating. Going for outings.
  • Being silly, laughing.
  • Reinforcing positive behavior.
  • Telling how much we love him.

Positive parent-child relationships are important for all areas of children’s development. By being in the moment, spending quality time and showing warmth, care and respect, we can strengthen our relationship with our child.

We can build a positive parent-child relationship by:

  • being in the moment with our child
  • spending quality time with our child
  • Creating a caring environment of trust and respect.
There’s no formula for getting our parent-child relationship right, and there’ll be times when it’s hard to relate to our child the way we want to. But if you keep working on improving our relationship over time, our child will feel loved and secure.
