She was very tired and she accidentally fell asleep without the lighted candles. The candles created a fire that quickly passed through wooden paneling into adjacent rooms.

In the investigation report, it appears that the witnesses didn’t dare to directly accuse the signora Capellini, the Governess’ maid and one of her favorite companions.

Also, Charles V, lived most part of his life in the palace.
Charles V figure was important for worldwide history because he was the Holy Roman Emperor, the Archduke of Austria, the King of Spain from 1516 to 1556, and Lord of the Netherlands as titular Duke of Burgundy from 1506 to 1555. But not only this, he also became the head of the rising House of Habsburg during the first half of the 16th century.
