The two terms we wanted to introduce are transparency and transition. Three of the songs are examples of transparency, while the other two being examples of transition. The first three include; "Man In The Mirror" , "Through The Wire" and "When We Were Young." All three are based off their respective artist's own personal truths. Whether it's Michael Jackson addressing identity and racial issues that dogged him throughout his entire life or Adele singing about her past relationships or Kanye sharing his literal thoughts just hours after a near-death experience. These artists take their vulnerability and transmit them through their preferred materials. The idea of "transmission" and it's similarity with our concepts is what gives it credence. Just a thought worth mentioning. Anyhow, the final two songs are "Bet" and the classic "Bohemian Rhapsody." The reasoning behind "Bet" is listed underneath this post and Queen's most iconic song exemplifies transition through the opera-esque movements and wide range of sounds and momentums.
