Their mental health has never been stable, and they tend to fall into dissociative and suicidal episodes every once in a while. For around three months, I´ve been noticing behavioral patterns that involve drug abuse and can´t remember exactly when was the last time they were sober. Seeing them live through this, worries me and I don´t know how to approach the situation. Things are already bad and I am scared there isn´t a solution and that things go downhill for their mental health from here. Keep in mind, this person is on antidepressants and alcohol could also have dangerous effects on their mental health. 

I desperately want them to get better but I am feeling helpless. I want to priotitize their safety which also means respecting their privacy and boundaries.
