Because the worlds from Act ONE and ACT TWO are so distinct, the act of actually stepping into Act Two must be definite. The hero cannot be lured, ricked, or drift into Act Two. The hero must make the decision himself.

THAT’S WHAT MAKES HIM A HERO, BEING PRO-ACTIVE.

In pursuit of their goal, what thrill can the character encounter AND, what setback do they encounter in pursuit of their goal?

The opposite of the midpoint in terms of an “up” or a down. It seems like a total defeat. All aspects of the hero’s life are in shambles. Wreckage abounds. No hope. The WHIFF OF DEATH…All is lost is the place where mentors of to die, presumably so their students can discover “they had it in them all along” The mentors death clears the way to prove that. The All Is Lost moment is where the old world, the old character, the old way of thinking dies.—It clears the way for the fusion of thesis - what was - and antithesis - the upside down version of what was - to become synthesis, that being a new world.

• She feels the energy is off with her HS friends. Everyone is flexing on her for calling them on their new, status seeking, money hungry energy.

• Roxi is getting the attention she seeks from Franklin, encourages him to host a 4th of July party.

Stumble:

• She didn't get the LA Times Internship, and she and her friend had an argument about which qualifications matter.

• Roxi is creating tension, lies, and deceit, in a way to turn up the summer.

• Roxi has an addiction to pills, she's hiding...

We meet Caleb vomiting into a toilet, nauseous from last activities of last night.

Exchange peace of mind for a piece of the pie

We met Zayden making knocking hip hop beats in lab with long focus & drive.

• We leave Zayden making beats/jingles/soundtracks outside of hip-hop.He's not doing his first love, and is a bit conflicted, but he is getting paid.

Doing it for the culture..?

We met Destiny with a pen and pad in her hand, with a commitment to tapping into her creativity but lacking the courage to share with her family and friends.

• We leave Destiny sharing her talents in a spoken word, over a beat provided by Zayden, which shows her talents, and speaks to her generation.

• It brings her mother to tears.

She heads back to school, staying artistic.

Creativity and courage come from within.
