An Italian court has rejected a compensation claim for more than €500,000 (£426,000) by Raffaele Sollecito, who was cleared of the 2007 murder of the British exchange student Meredith Kercher after spending nearly four years in jail.

Sollecito, 32, had tried to claim the maximum possible sum from the state for wrongful imprisonment, after spending nearly four years in jail.

Patrick was arrested for the murder of Kercher because of what Knox said. Knox incriminated him during an interview despite her handwritten letter against it. She was later convicted of slander in 2024 after Patrick sued her. He moved to outer parts of Europe with his family because of the way the media was treating them. After his release, moved in the city of Viterbo. Over the last year, Guede has volunteered for the charity Caritas and worked as a librarian at the Viterbo criminological studies centre, Italian media say. As of today, he still denies murdering Kercher.

Rudy guede who is now 37 years old, was released out of jail in 2021 for good behavior after serving 13 years of his 16 year term. Guede was placed under special surveillance for allegedly abusing his ex girlfriend having a restraining order placed against him. Guede cannot be within 500 meters of his ex girlfriend and he is required to wear an electronic bracelet. He isn’t allowed outside of his house from 9:30pm through 6:30 am and he has to inform the police whenever he leaves viterbo.

Guede was put under special surveillance for 12 months after allegedly abusing him former girlfriend. After authorities had already put a restraining order on him banning him from being 500 meters from her and had to wear a electronic bracelet. He was also now banned from having any contact with the women including social media and will not be allowed outside of his home between 21:30 and 6:30. And will also have to inform police anytime he leaves his city.

Knox remained quiet over social media following the expected hate following her trial, but in 2017 she has made her Instagram account public. A little before that back in 2013, she released her New York Times best selling memoir “ Waiting To Be Heard”. Knox even went on to participate in Netflix’s Emmy Nominated documentary “ Amanda Knox “. Which premiered in 2018. Knox returned to Italy in 2019 for the first time since being released to speak at the Criminal Justice Festival in Modena. Lastly, Knox is even married to her husband Christopher Robinson in February 29 2020. She also has children too, a daughter who Knox had in October of 2021 and a son named Echo born in September of 2023.
