What did you like? We love the ability to promote independent learning and having additional tools to use in and out of the classroom.

What didn't you like? When a student can't go back to see a page they need to check their answers or when the phones don't show everything clearly.

Will you use these courses/ Why/ Why not? As preparation for national and international tests, as enrichment.

What other courses would you like to see? More updated COBE courses and more vocabulary as Band 3 grows + create Band Two courses - with audio and translation. We need to close the gaps created by Corona and the war - many students lack a LOT of Band Two vocabulary.

Technology has enhanced hybrid teaching and learning. Digital tools can be use IN class, for flipped lessons, as independent review. It allows more freedom for differential teaching, to allow teachers to cater the lessons to class or individual needs.

It's imperative to keep up. On one hand, we need to keep it simple by using 1 - 3 tools, but on the other hand, we need to keep up with new tools that can help us constantly.

I looked a the Moodle Module E course. I went through the first few units in the Pilot Vocabulary section and really liked how the material was presented. One thing that I found particularly beneficial was that if students didn't immediately recognize a word in the first part of the unit they could simply click on the "i" for more information button and a new window immediately popped up with a definition of the word, a sample sentence and a video of someone explaining the meaning. Another feature that I liked was that students can easily check their work as they go. This helps them gauge their progress. They are also given 4 attempts to pass quizzes in the unit with a grade of 60 or above. I think this is an important feature as it enables students to learn from their mistakes and correct them before continuing with the material. One thing that I found frustrating was the scroll bar on the right hand side of the screen doesn't always work. I had to keep dragging the screen up and down with the arrow keys on my computer. Other than that, I feel that this course is well structured and divided up in manageable chunks. I am going to recommend it to my students (especially those who may need more practice with vocabulary).
