It's a husband and wife. The wife has a certain sickness. How she is amazed about this place with the think of english places, a garden and these abandonned greenhouse. The husband is a physician, he is practical in the extreme and intense horror of superstition. Also he doesn't like how she writes in this "journal" of hers. And she doesn't like how her room is currently is. And the husband does not know how much she is suffering.
