Coach Mc you were one of the best coaches ever! You were always pushing me to be my best and never let us settle to be anything but the best. It's sad to see you go, but I'm glad I was able to train under you for at least 2 years. I'll never forget those Arroyo workouts and all of our xc/track meets. Have fun travelling, I'm jealous! Thank you for coaching us. You were one of the most dedicated and motivational coaches I’ve ever had. It’s been a blast being a part of this team. I appreciated each and every workout you planned for us and each word of encouragement you shared. You pushed us to stay motivated, especially when you yourself would run with us! I wanted to thank you for pushing me to be a better runner. You have influenced me greatly and knowing you has made running enjoyable. I have learned so much from you over the years. I appreciate all the work and effort that you have put into making us a better team. You've definitely changed us for the better! I wish you the best wherever you go. Thank you Coach McConnell for being our coach and number one supporter ! Your enthusiastic personality is what separates you from many people and I think it's this trait that makes you a great coach. Thank you Coach McConnell for being our coach. I'm so sad to see you go, but I'm extremely thankful that I got to train under you for the past 4 years. You are one of the best coaches I have ever had. I appreciate all the hard work and dedication you have put into making us a better team.. Thank you for always pushing me and for not letting me give up. Your positive, can do attitude is something I will NEVER forget. You gave me the encouragement I needed to believe in myself. I would like to thank you for everything you helped me with and all the things we did together through out the track season. I know that it was my first time in track and I didn’t train with you as much as the other people did, but I was glad to be a part of everything we did in that short period of time. Hopefully you have an amazing adventure for the rest of your life. You’ll be missed by me and many more. Thank you for everything!!!

Just wanted to say thank you coach McConnell for believing in all us and giving all us painful but awesome workouts that made us the runners we are today. Even tho we didn’t get a shot to show our work during the track season we didn’t give up even when all seemed to be no hope in a season it came right at us and we trained for it. Also thank you for believing in me when I was training during the pandemic and giving me the kudos and communicating with me during it. And this ain’t the end hopefully get to see you soon whenever you come back and you’ll see that Oxnard is gonna be on top these next few years and crack down on other teams! -Bryan Guzman

Coach Mc, I truly want to thank you so much for being our coach these past years. You built us all up to the top, and it has been an honor working with you since my freshman year. You were constantly giving us these painful (but clearly effective) workouts, believing in us along the way, and just being an amazing coach. This season was definitely different not having you there at every workout but I always kept your encouraging words in mind. You have always killed it as coach and even though we won't get to train with you, I know that we will do great things - all thanks to you. You truly are such an inspiration to keep us going and push ourselves harder than we thought was possible. You're the best! Have fun traveling!!

Uh first of all i wanted to say thank you for being an amazing person. Your encouraging and down to earth personality really helped me get through the short but fun seasons with you as our coach. Your workouts and training plans were truly difficult but i appreciate that because to me it means that you believed in all of us and that we can all perform just as good as everyone else. I never thought you would actually leave and its very sad but im sure youll have fun on your travels. Im glad you will be able to do what you want and i hope that you will continue to watch over us as we take the world head on. -Samuel Adams :)

Oh coach mc where to start, i'm probably going to tear up writing this *heart broken emoji* Anyways thank you for all your hard work and dedication you put into this team. You were truly a huge impact on me and this whole team. Thank you for always believing in me when I didn't. Thank you for pushing me and shaping me to the runner I am today. You were the motivation I needed to become a better runner, the way you would shout at us during practice and laugh at us when we were dying was truly evil HAHA but it made us better. Your words after practice and before a race were truly inspiring/ motivational, it made me want to try harder. As well as seeing you cheer us on when we were out in the course running. Still mad you left, we we're supposed to finish track together. Anyways enough said HAHA thank you x1000 I hope you enjoy traveling the world :b oh bring me a souvenir when you visit us HAHA

I shouldn’t be sad that you’re leaving us but rather be happy that you get to do what you’ve been dying to do. Obviously it’s a downer but I have to respect your decisions. As much as I want to say to you I have limited space in this text box so I’m just gonna say thank you for making me believe I can expand way more as a runner and also telling me when I did my worst. You always kept it real and I appreciate and respect you for that. My next 3 seasons are dedicated to you as corny as it sounds. I just wanted to show you what I could’ve done with you around. Although I didn't get to spend much time with you, I am still glad I was able to get to know you a little before you left. Hearing the way everyone speaks so highly of you, though, I'm sure you were one of the best! I hope you enjoy whatever comes next and make sure to stay safe. I can't wait to see you again soon :)
