In these letters we learn about his family and friends. He begins his letters off by talking about his friend, Michael who has committed suicide. He describes how much he misses him, and about how he and this other girl, Susan, used to be best friends. However, things change, and she stops talking to Charlie after middle school.

Franky doesn't know who to believe, her father or her heart. She is trying to find the truth even if it means hurting someone she loves.
