Hello my name is Damien Sanchez my passion is working out and going to the gym. It began in 2019 I became overweight to my standards i was 175 pounds after being 140 pounds throughout high school I had played soccer majority of my life, from 4 years old till senior year and once I graduated I no longer had any sort of daily exercise or daily acitvity. I went the whole year of 2018 eating unhealthy and staying home doing noting. I started to notice I was gaining weight slowly on my face and throughtout my body but i didn't think much of It. Then one day a friend invited me to the gym with him in march of 2019. Since that day on I have grown a passion for the gym that plan to do for the rest of my life it is something that helps me mentally and physically everday.

Climate Gentrification

One thing that caught my attention is the amount of people that choose to move to cheaper areas so that they aren't effected by the climate gentriffication. Also i believe in years to come that it will only get worse from here beacue there are some people in the world that truly don't believe in climate change. We saw how living near the coastal can be so dangerous just recently with hurricance ian. Many houses, cars , and even lives where lost because of this. In florida there are plenty of hurriacanes and areas that are capable of being effected in the same way. In the video there are interviewing people and getting their experience with this topic. Hearing them speak made me realize that altough some people may want to move out of these areas that are easily effected by this they are not able to due to level income they make.

The stroy i watched was the story of electronics, the lady in video was explaining the amount of toxic chemicals that get released in some of the electronics we used today. She went on to say all our built up Ewaste such as Computers, televisions, VCRs, stereos, copiers, fax machines, and old phones, just to name a few tpes of ewaste are being "designed to the dump ". What she means by this is products are being made to be short lived these products don't last long and break easy causing us to want to get the latest phones , tv or whatever else is the newest form of technology is.This is called "Moore's Law" back in 1960 they realized that every 18 months they can improve processor speed. Meaning every 18 months new phones are created. But the problem is when they products are made they are made with toxic chemicals such as PBC, mercury, and flame retardant. Ewaste toxic chemicals are being released whenever they are getting thrown to trash and broken down they release toxic chemicals. https://www.storyofstuff.org/movies/story-of-electronics/

The video i chose to watch was "How Green Is Solar Energy Really" the reason i chose this video was because I always thought that solar panels were good for the environment. But after watching video I found it interesting that because some solar panels are made out of toxic chemicals those solar panels are releasing that into the enviroment. Not all solar panels are bad it depends on the manufacturer. When cleaning these panels they have to use what is called Hydrofluoric Acid and other hazardous chemicals like silicon valley toxics coalition this chemical allows the panel to last longer but this chemical is not envirmental friendly. The good thing is that the panels are recyclable. The bad news is that most of them aren't yet. So in conclusion solar panels aren't entirely green but it doesn't mean we should just stop using them as they do still have benefits.

Covid 19 started a pandemic that we may never see again. It was all over the world not just in the US. Millons of people died due to this virus the wolrd practically shut down for at least a year. But other then the deaths total, what else could this virus have effected ? Millons of people have lost thier jobs due to companys going out of business. Many people also have develop social anxiety or fear of going outisde. Part of the reasoning for this is because during the pandemic schools all went virtual and also when returning from virtural back to class rooms social distancing was implemented so people had less and less human interactions. The pandemic changed everyone differently. In the article you can see the different perspective of many different people on what covid has doen to them and their families.

https://www.pewresearch.org/2021/03/05/in-their-own-words-americans-describe-the-struggles-and-silver-linings-of-the-covid-19-pandemic/#:~:text=Around%20one%2Din%2Dfive%20Americans,frustrated%20about%20working%20from%20home.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had both positive and negative impacts on climate change. On the one hand, the economic slowdown caused by the pandemic has led to a temporary reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. For example, the lockdowns and travel restrictions imposed by governments around the world have resulted in a significant decrease in carbon emissions from transportation, which is one of the largest contributors to global emissions.
