Environmental pollutants are constituent parts of the pollution process. They are the actual "executing agents"of environmental pollution. 

They come in gaseous, solid or liquid form.

 It is interesting to note that, as of 1990, there were around 65,000 different chemicals in the marketplace, i.e. potential environmental pollutants that were to be released into air, water and land on a regular basis.

We assume that, as of 2011 - 2012, this number may be significantly higher.

Environmental problems lead to various problems arising from the fact that nature can no longer purify itself. Typical environmental problems include water pollution, air pollution, and land pollution et cetra.

The phenomenon that soot, dust, odor, noise, vibration, sewage, waste, radioactive material which are emitted in the course of human life or production consumption pollute the living environment and obstruct health, survival.
