During the Industrial Revolution, There were new, large forms of businesses that involved the production of a factory. So more produce could be made there. A cotton spinner named Samuel Slater, he was born June 9, 1768, in Belper, United Kingdom, He built the first factory in England in 1790 that produces spindles of yarn. The factory had 72 spinders, There were mostly kids working there, but the owners had unskilled workers working there. all of them were getting little pay, making about 40 cents,. the children worked about 12-14 hours, and made about 40 cents a week. Originally, He built it because it was a change from small workshops they had previously worked in, and when they saw an opportunity to move into something bigger and produce more products faster, they immediately took the chance. Generally the factories were built by rivers, because it was able to power the type of machines the factories had, And was also a place where they would discard waste. Then years later, men named John and Arthur built the second factory in England also, which was the first factory to manufacture woolens. With all of that, there were also problems thought the whole thing. There were no child laws. The workers were exposed to pollution, along with the air. There was bacteria everywhere, air and on surfaces, There were chemical reactions, but most importantly fire. The conditions there were unsafe, there was poor hygiene, and since the hygiene was poor, a disease called cholera was spreading as a result. Other diseases spread as well. Since more and more people were starting to come, since everyone wanted to work there. So in the process of that, more diseases spread, which resulted in many deaths since there was no medicine The owners were paying the workers very little. And made them work long hours. As the factories grew around the world, by approximately 15 million people between 1880 and 1900, which led to radical changes in city life, including noise, traffic, slums, air pollution and sanitation problems. Before the industrial revolution, more than 80 percent of people lived in the country side. As people continued migrating from the rural areas, small towns grew into large cities. However, the cities became crowded, dirty places where epidemics often broke out. The burning coal of the factories polluted the air and coated the buildings with grime, and water supplies were polluted by waste. This explosion in population was largely a result of industrial expansion. The look of cities also changed, with mass transit systems, such as trolleys, subways and cable cars, and the construction of skyscrapers. Additionally, suburbs were introduced to the areas around urban centers in order to house the new populations of commuters. Those people living within the cities generally lived in apartments and tenements, and some areas became close-knit enclaves for immigrant populations

By: Reyshon G.
I may get cut from this job, but i have an opinion like everyone else. But i believe this factory building process. Is a terrible idea. Before someone comes in here and takes me away. let me explain. The construction of the building, is going to destroy England, the smells are horrible, you can barely breathe, there so much pollution you can't even see. And while this factory business is booming, There have been even more problems with the people here. Everyone has been stampeding, just to work at the new factories. It has been so crowded that you can't even move. On top of that, they built even more building to live in, and ir just keeps getting worse and worse. There is no getting better with this. Ever since the factory has been built. More and more people are starting to build more and more factories. And people just don't understand the concept, that this is a terrible idea. They have Children working here, barely getting 10 cents an hour. There are so many diseases here. We work over 16 hours each day. And everyone just smells so bad. And it hasn't been getting any better. Families have been going, in and out, ever since it has been built. There needs to be a change in this. Everything is terrible here. People die evryday because of the unsafe working conditions. Last week a girl broke her neck trying to carry something, Died instantly. The whole enviroment is trashy, no one cleans up by them selves, it is just disgusting
