Well the media can help the research because they can use their influence to get more people that want it to be involved in the research, also some of the media can do their influence and their power to cancel the research and the organization but they can’t do it because we all have the right of liberty of expression this right was mentioned on FUNDENL talk. Civic participation can be a fundamental part for FUNDENL results, the citizens that help the organization are mainly people that have some familiar or close person, also they can be normal people that the only thing that they want is to help the cause. They can help in different ways. One of the ways is with labour work such as helping pasting the missing persons in different parts, the other can be with monetary help, that's why civic participation is very important. One of the many cases of the FUNDENL talk that mark me more is the case of the bodies that were found in a deep hole. They said that there were like 20 bodies in that hole. This impacted me a lot because it is incredible that these things happen in Nuevo Leon.

On March 5 the "Guerreros Buscadores de Jalisco" entered to a property in Jalisco for a search of missing persons, the area was later investigated by authorities discovering a potential evidence related to disappearances. Search disappearances people that they leave no trace.

How does Antoine´s story mentioned in the Module, relates to Mrs. Lety Hidalgo story? Explain. They relates each other because Antoine and Mrs. Lety wants justice and democracy, also they wanted to all the people to have a voice.

One of the ways is the SERVICE because all there project was for the people and tried to help them, the other is the ASSOCIATION I choose this because FUNDENL create a hole great organization and community from scratch to create this they sacrifice the most value thing that we have, that is time.

Her actions change a lot of people, she inspired a lot of people and thanks to that some people also tried to help her investigation, also she created a great organization and a great community. She changed me because I reconsider how luck I'm because I have all my family in a good health status.

In the past years thousands of disappearances have been reported in Mexico, including Jalisco. Various citizen groups, participate in internships in cooperation with authorities or independently to found the missing persons. The video documents said how they get in group with some people to tried to found the missing persons. It said the social context in which they operate, and the reactions of the families affected by their disappearances. There are also official data and testimonies that reflect the scale of the problem.

1. How is Antoine's story like Mrs. Lety Hidalgo’s story?
Antoine’s story is about a young person who sees a problem in their community and decides to do something about it. This is exactly what Mrs. Lety Hidalgo did. When her son went missing, she didn’t just stay sad she turned her pain into action and formed a organization. They both took action

2. What types of activism do Mrs. Hidalgo and FUNDENL use? Two main ways they help are:

a) Uniting Families
They bring together families of disappeared people, organize marches/rallies, and use media/social platforms to raise awareness.

b) Peaceful Protests & Advocacy
They speak publicly, create art (like the “Monument of Memory and Hope”), and protest to pressure leaders to address disappearances and improve laws.

3. How did Mrs. Hidalgo’s work help others?
Her actions did a lot of good:

Gave people hope: She showed others it’s possible to turn sadness and grief into strength. Many families now speak up instead of staying silent.
Taught about rights: Her work teaches students and communities why it’s important to stand up for what’s right.
Built support: FUNDENL created a safe space for families to share stories, get legal help, and feel less alone.

For me, learning about her bravery reminds me that even when things feel unfair, regular people can make a difference by working togehter when the authorites fail.

Objective Article

In March 2025, a group of Buscadoras de Jalisco found a ranch in Teuchitlán, Jalisco. It is believed that it was used by the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) for criminal activities. The group found ovens underground, personal items, and remains, which suggest that many people may have been killed there.

This discovery shows how serious the problem of missing people is in Mexico. More than 100,000 people are officially missing and it is very probable that theyre is more misssing people unoficialy. Many families look for their loved ones on their own because they feel the government does not help enough.

The government has promised to make changes, like giving more support to search groups and making the process faster. But many families and human rights groups worry these changes are still failing them.

The case in Teuchitlán shows that Mexico needs better plans to help the victims, investigate what happened, and stop more disappearances from happening in the future.
