Palacio does a good job putting images in my mind, but in my head there was one scene that I could picture very clearly. The scene I could see was when August shows up in a bleeding scream costume instead of Bobba Fett, and overhears his best friend Jack talking badly about him. August has a face problem (Treacher Collins Syndrome) and has always been homeschooled. In this book he starts school for the first time in his life. This story tells the perspective of August's sister, two of his friends and him. Palacio wrote the book Wonder in a very different style than most authors write books.  For instance, most authors write books where there is one narrator for the entire book, but R.J. had many people share their point of view.
