As a future teacher, I am someone who goes beyond just delivering lessons. I am a guide, mentor, and advocate for my students. My classroom will be a place where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued, regardless of their background, abilities, or experiences. I will create an inclusive environment where diversity is celebrated, and every student has the opportunity to succeed at their own pace.

I will be more than just an instructor, I will be someone who listens, understands, and encourages my students to become the best versions of themselves, not only academically but also personally. I will teach them critical thinking, empathy, and resilience, helping them grow into individuals who are prepared to face life's challenges. My role will extend beyond the classroom, as I aim to inspire lifelong learning and foster a love for knowledge that will serve my students long after they leave my class.

To my future students, I will be a teacher who embraces inclusivity in all forms. Every student will be welcomed, accepted, and respected, regardless of their cultural background, learning needs, or personal circumstances. I will work to create a learning environment that celebrates diversity, where students feel safe to express their individuality and perspectives without fear of judgment or exclusion. As an inclusive teacher, I will differentiate instruction to cater to various learning styles, ensuring that each student’s unique needs are met. Whether they are visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learners, or have different levels of ability, I will ensure that they feel capable and supported in their learning journey.

Title of Padlet:

"Celebrating Inclusive Education"

Shape Chosen:

Heart – I chose a heart shape to represent compassion, care, and love for all learners, regardless of their abilities. It symbolizes how inclusive education must come from the heart.

Font & Layout:

I used a bold and clean font to make the words clear and readable, showing that inclusivity should be straightforward and accessible to all. The layout is random to show that every student is unique and learns differently.

Explanation of Words:

•Accessibility: All students must have access to quality education.

•Equality: Everyone deserves the same opportunity to learn.

•Empowerment: Inclusive education empowers marginalized students.

•Inclusion: No one should be left behind.

•Respect: Everyone’s differences should be honored.

•Diversity: A celebration of various learning needs and backgrounds.

•Support: Teachers and schools must offer assistance tailored to each student.

•Rights: Every child has a right to education (UN CRPD & RA 7277).

•Collaboration: It takes teamwork—teachers, families, and the community.

•Special Education: A key part of inclusivity for students with unique needs.

Other Significant Details:

My Padlet background is pink to represent calmness, understanding, and patience. I arranged the post in a way that others can react or comment to share their own ideas about inclusion.

1. International Personality:

• Haben Girma

•Background:

Haben Girma is an inspiring disability rights advocate, speaker, and author. She is both deaf and blind but broke barriers by becoming the first deafblind graduate of Harvard Law School. Born in California to Eritrean immigrants, Haben has used her platform to advocate for equal access to education, technology, and opportunity for people with disabilities. She travels globally to speak about inclusion and accessibility and has even been recognized by President Obama for her work.

2. Insights and Discoveries:

Learning about Haben Girma showed me how resilience and determination can truly break barriers. Despite being deafblind, she pursued one of the most challenging academic paths and succeeded. She doesn’t just stop at personal success—she uses her voice (and her tech tools) to fight for others. Her story made me realize how important accessibility is and how much untapped potential lies in the PWD community. It also taught me that having a disability is not a limitation—it’s a different way of navigating the world.

3.

Output No. 4: Our PWD, Our Pride

Featuring: Arlito Dela Rama

1. Background:

Arlito Dela Rama is a local personality from our barangay who lives with a physical disability that affects his ability to walk. Despite this challenge, he has proven to be a resilient and driven individual. Arlito is a successful entrepreneur who owns and manages a farm. His hard work and dedication have not only sustained his livelihood but also inspired others in the community to pursue their dreams, regardless of their limitations.

2. Learning Insights:

Through Arlito’s story, I’ve learned that true strength comes from within. His disability did not stop him from being productive and successful. In fact, it became a source of motivation. Arlito’s journey shows that people with disabilities can contribute greatly to their communities if given the right support and opportunities. He reminds me that success isn’t about what we lack—it’s about how we use what we have. His life is a true representation of determination, hard work, and hope.
