Introduction

It is common knowledge that everyone likes to listen to music, but what draws each individual person to the type of music they like? This concept has to do with every individual and the "relationship" they feel they have with the genre of music, music artist, or specific song. These relationships can be formed in many, many different ways. One way a person can feel connected to a song or artist is the lyrics in the musical piece. Another way musical pieces attract an audience is through catchy or "trendy" musicality in songs or albums. Some artists' songs or albums even become well known because of the time they choose to show their work to the public. For example, if they released a sad song after a well-known tragic event, this song will get a lot of attention. These are just a few ways individuals become familiar with certain types of music.

Since his holiday album is very popular (in a good way), most listeners have a positive relationship with Buble's music.

Swift has been creating music for over seven years, and most people like her older music (2009-2011) than her new music (2014-2017). Her older music has very creative, original, and relatable lyrics which is why so many people fell in love with her as an artist. Because of those older songs, Swift is viewed as a smart, creative, and innovative artist.

Country Music is a music genre that people either really like, or completely hate. In my opinion, country music all sounds very similar. So, the relationship individuals create with country songs are usually the same for most songs in the genre.
