·       Writing research identity is more about understanding how to use certain skills and less about what the skills are.

·       Antecedent knowledge is not always helpful when it comes to academic writing.

Surprising:

It is necessary for writers to change their styles in order to advance their skills, and there is not one correct way to write every piece of writing.

I like this quote because its okay to ask and or receive help.

This quote shows me that even when we may not realize that writing is a part of our daily lives this quote shows that it is. I've learned that writing is not something so one-sided as something that's generally related to schoolwork but shows that even in daily, or trivia task were performing some form of writing.
