I completed all assignments but one on time and received the grade I planned to. There wasn't any subject or topic we covered that would not be beneficial. There was a lot about ADHD and emotional disturbances that I did not know before. I was also more familiarized with physical disabilities in this class. Being in the special education classroom also was an eye opener. Since I want to teach special education I did all of my observations the last 2 semesters in special education classrooms one of which was a very high incidence high school. I did not know that a safe room with padded walls and locked doors existed. That made me very sad. The first several we had were rather long to get through but the information was very valuable and I do not think the class would have been as effective skipping over those. They had a variety of text and video which made the assignments more interesting.
