I was lucky enough to have teachers who cared for me and saw something inside of me that I could not see at the time. I was in a ROP careers with children elective class that I would be fun and an easy A, little did I know this was the class that helped me turn a tiny dream into a life long career. The teachers in the class were my inspiration, Ms. Debby and Ms. Judy are the kind of teachers that make learning fun and memorable. I loved how they worked together and were always smiling, their friendship was magical. I loved watching interact with us, the students and the young children in the classroom. I remember how patient and understanding they were, it was effortless and I remember thinking this is what I want in life. I want to be able to enjoy my job and have fun doing it. 

My best friend and I enrolled in ECE classes at Fullerton College and instantly feel in love with the classes and the principles of working with young children. As soon as I had enough units I started subbing and got placed at a nearby Head Start. It was exactly where I wanted to be and I knew in my heart this is exactly where I needed to be. For the past 12 years I have been with Orange County Head Start and grown so much as a teacher, leader, a mentor and now a supervisor. I love working with the children and families at Head Start, I have met some extraordinary people and I know that my life would not be the same had I not been inspired by the two lovely ladies I met in High School. 

My goal is to keep learning and complete my degree here with Pacific Oaks. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. That includes going to the movies, spending too money at target. Eating and cooking delicious foods, I love ice cream and breakfast foods. I recently have started to appreciate the benefits of self care aka getting massages and facials. It is AMAZING! LOL!
