In order to learn something an individual has to be able to retain that information long enough to be able to store it in our long-term memory. The stages of enhancing memory are crucial when it comes to retaining any information. Making connections between what you're memorizing, and learning helps you retain that information faster. This makes recalling much easier. For example, as I participated in the video, I naturally grouped people together based on their department. Making that connection that Linda is head of HR helped me remember her name better.
