To get to the center of the earth, we'll be riding the Virgin Volcanic. Traveling to the center of the earth is difficult because of the heat and pressure. This ship is small, but made of very dense metal that wont break or melt. It has about 100 square meters inside.

The Virgin Volcanic grinds and grinds at the top of Mt Saint Helens in Washington State. This volcano is famous because its eruption was so violent in 1980 that the top half of the volcano "blew up!". The ash went all the way from the northwest of the united states to the Florida!

We enter through the top crater into the vent. The conduit is made of hot rock and there's not much to see. There are no side vents of any notice. Farther and farther down we go until we hit liquid molten magma. This is the magma chamber. This is where it is so hot that rocks melt.
