He repeats himself several times, by saying "Good afternoon" until his nephew stops talking about christmas.

Scrooge sounds grumpy when he speaks, people don't usually speak back to him.

He has a bad temper and gets angry very quickly, and his voice gets more annoyed.

Behaviour:

- Scrooge is very rude towards other people = when his nephew entered his house, he immediately begins to yell at him; 

" Merry christmas! What right have you to be merry? What reason have you to be merry? You're poor enough."

- Narrow Minded/sighted = whenever his nephew tries to convince him that christmas is a good time, he answers with "Bah! Humbug!" -> pessimistic view on things. He's not open to others opinion.

Comment (narrator):

- The narrator talks about Scrooge in a very descriptive manner, uses a lot of adjectives, although never positive adjectives.

- The narrator introduces us to Scrooge as a man with a heart as cold as ice.

- Not greedy anymore. He doesn't hold onto money, which was a big part of his personality before. He gives his employer a raise, and buys a huge turkey for Christmas.
