Yes, of course cell phones should be allowed in the classroom. I've always been a firm believer in the philosophy: Informal, but not impolite. So long as students can continue to pay attention during lectures and treat you with respect, cell phones are irrelevant. They're going to use them anyway, might as well be the good guy and let them.

Cell phones should be allowed in the classroom, but in a regulated sense. For example, students should not be on social media during class. Phones should be used as a way to research things or provide an easier way of doing things. The use of cell phones is effective if used correctly.

I do think that cell phones can be helpful, but most schools give students access to some kind of technology where cell phones wouldn't be needed. There are games that can be done as a classroom like Kahoot, but the school I'm at now everyone has chromebooks and can just as easily do it on those. Maybe without access to technology in the classrooms it would be good, but that really isn't the case anymore.

Depends on the age. Elementary school? No. Junior high and High school? Absolutely. They are going to have them out anyways, so are you really going to be that teacher that makes them put it in a box? Use the phone for an educational reason! Have them bring them out and use them for a beneficial purpose. This is 2018 almost 2019, we need to realize that almost everything is online now, we have to embrace that.

No I do not believe that cell phones should be used in the classroom. I think having cell phones in the classroom are a distraction and they can go off during a test or in a middle of a lesson. The only time that it is appropriate to use cell phones in the classroom is when there has been a accident in the family and you need to have your phone on you for updates.
-Makayla Wright

But this is only if the teacher lets them use cell phones. certain times would be like out in the halls and the caf. but in the classroom there should be a limit for them to use it. if the teacher is teaching then they cell phones should be left alone but after the teacher gets done teaching they can have them out.
