On the Parent Corner wall, I've posted a list of "Maintenance Tasks." The most important one is probably sharpening pencils and colored pencils. I would prefer to have volunteers take the pencils and electric sharpener out of the classroom so that it isn't a distraction for the kiddos. 

Behavior management! If you spot a wiggly friend or side-conversation, ask "What is your job right now?" or remind them what their "job" is. (specific expectations - where should you be?
