Hello! I'm excited to be working with you this school year. I teach Social Studies which encompasses many different classes which can include US & World History, Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Geography, Economics, and Civics.

I graduated from Marshall University and American Public University and have been teaching for over 15 years now. This is my 7th year with Imagine Learning.

I live in Chester, WV with my husband, son (6), and daughter (4), 2 dogs, and a cat.

Favorites:

Movie: The Martian & A League of Their Own

Color: Purple

Food: Cheese, cheese, and more cheese and sometimes pizza and wings.

Drink: Iced Tea, no sugar please

Music: I'm on a Taylor Swift kick lately but like all kinds of artists and genres.

Why Does Academic Integrity Matter?

I like to send a general email to all of my students reviewing, "Why does Academic Integrity matter?" It is important that you learn why it is essential to have integrity in your academics in your any of your courses. To start thinking about this idea, please read through the information on this link. Why Does Academic Integrity Matter?

Remember these two things:

Avoiding plagiarism will allow you to gradually improve your writing skills.
AI is not a scholarly source that you can cite, so it is still an academic integrity violation and will not be tolerated. Even if you paraphrase from AI, the fact is that AI wrote it and its still not from your original thoughts, ideas, and words.

Please use the message tab and clarify any misconceptions you may have regarding plagiarism or the use of AI; it's important that you understand it so you can avoid the penalties that come from choosing to plagiarize!
