The Ten Commandments and The 42 laws of Ma'at are so similar to each other because the Ten Commandments could have been inspired by the 42 laws of Ma'at. In the bible it says that Moses was raised in Egypt, so he would've been well aware about the 42 laws of Ma'at. The 10 commandments contain similar laws to the 42 laws of Ma'at like about harm being inflicted on a person. There are also punishments if you break the laws on both laws. So the Ten Commandments and the 42 laws of Ma'at are so similar to each other because Mose, the person who brought the Ten Commandments could have gotten inspiration from the 42 laws of Ma'at from being raised in Egypt.

They are similar because in some of the ¨laws¨ were about not hurting anyone in anyway. Some are also about not mocking or not doing anything to upset the god that they worship, and if one person does so they will have some sort of punishment.

The 42 Laws of Ma'at are similar to the 10 commandments because Moses (according to the text) was adopted into Egyptian Royalty, and was educated in "all the wisdom of Egyptians" (Acts 7:22), meaning he could have seen the 42 laws of Ma'at and taken inspiration from the original Egyptian laws to make the 10 Commandments for his God and his beliefs. The 42 Commandments of Ma'at and the 10 Commandments are also similar because both have laws that help obey their God(s) and the people in the community. Although both laws/commandments were made for separate purposes and phrased in different ways, The 42 Laws of Ma'at and the 10 Commandments share enough similarities to have some sort of connection whether that be Moses taking inspiration, or that Egyptian morals were all similar regardless of religion/culture.

42 Commandments vs Hammurabi's Code

They are similar in that they both have a group of laws to follow in order to reduce the amount of open hate against their gods (Or god, depending on if they worshipped only one god or many). While the Hammurabi's code doesn't have any laws against religion or worshipping a god (or several) it does have the same concept of 'evil' and 'good'. It also blames the workings of nature on the people; it states that "I have not driven the cattle from their pastures, nor have I deprived any of that which was rightfully theirs." They may not have intended to drive away the cattle, yet the cattle acts on instinct in order to survive and stay away from wolves...they also state that "I have not vexed or angered God", however no one knows what god wants, there is no solid evidence that he even exists. Therefore, you cannot know whether or not you have angered God, or went against his will. Furthermore, the 42 Commandments states that "I have not slaughtered with evil intent the cattle of the god". The people may have intended to sacrifice the animal in order to worship their God (or gods). However, again, we don't know what god's will is, and if a storm comes right after that then someone may claim that they have angered god with that sacrifice...
