Key Point 1:
After the age 2 children start learning many words; there's a vocabulary explosion and by age 6 they have learned at least 14,000 new words. When learning new words and talking in full sentences, some words can be difficult to pronounce. Therefore, children develop strategies to simplify word to make it easier to pronounce.
Key Point 2:
Children learning the system of rules and grammar of language can result in errors and combining wrong word forms is called over-regularization. Even with grammatical errors children use sentences with adjectives, pronouns and become better conversationalist.
