During this celebration, there are colorful parades, music and traditional dances

I’m so happy to help you. We celebrate women’s day on March 8th. Usually, all the women get flowers, gifts and most of the time, a special date at the restaurant with wine from the men. That day is very important for each woman because we can feel the love in everything.

Everything it’s great. How are you doing?

That sounds interesting and fun! Sure, I’m glad to help you. In my country Chile, during the year, there are a few days that we celebrate “Fiestas Patrias”. It’s for Chilean independence on September 18th. Actually, the celebration it's an excuse to have free days and Chilean people prepare a barbeque, different types of food and drinks, like “completos”, “empanadas”, “anticuchos” are pork’s slice with some onion, “choripan”, “terremoto” it's an alcoholic drink with pineapple ice-cream. Those are some typical foods.  This year we will celebrate it for five days. It will start on Wednesday, so Thursday and Friday will be holidays.  September 19th, is  Day of the Glories of the army. You should visit me during those days.

Everything is good. And you? How are you ? Do you get along with your classmates?

Well, absolutely yes, I need to tell you that in my country we have a lot of celebrations, but one in particular is Mother’s Day. We celebrate it on May 30th. In my country this day is free for everybody and we share different types of gifts like flowers, chocolate, live music, and of course we prepare a delicious typical meat (Nacatamales Nicaraguenses).  The purpose of this celebration is to give them one special day for their labour 24hrs in 365 days.
