Change, whether intentional or unforeseen, gradual or abrupt, is unavoidable and an essential aspect of being human. We've seen an incredible transformation in our way of life over the last few months as a result of COVID-19. Who would have predicted that toilet paper would become as valuable as gold before the pandemic? And now, even going to the grocery store on a weekly basis feels like an adventure in and of itself! We've (reluctantly) let go of our old usual and are now settling into what appears to be our new normal.
Even when civilization re-emerges, there will be constraints in place, and we will face major changes in our way of life. - With social distancing in place and passengers wearing masks and gloves, public transportation appears to be extremely different.
- When we hear someone cough, sneeze, or sniffle, we do a double take. Schools and institutions have gone online, with some combining face-to-face instruction with online courses. The lack of Incoming Students is having an influence on universities all around the world. Workshops will be delayed, and foreign partnerships and long vacations will take a different form than in prior years.
- Work has also changed as a result of social distancing. Many of us have turned to working from home in order to reduce our dependence on public transportation and group meetings at the workplace. Zoom meetings have even become the New Normal for us. With travel limitations in place and unlikely to be lifted in the near future (especially for foreign travel), families and loved ones are being kept apart and forced to rely on internet catch ups.
- The way we eat out has evolved. Many restaurants and cafes may now only provide takeout, but even when they reopen for us to dine-in, there will likely be limitations on how many people may dine-in, social distance will be in place, and sharing dishes may disappear for some time.
- Social gatherings are now banned, parties and weddings already have limitations on how many people may attend. 
- Talking and having fun with friends outside is not allowed anymore, quarantine has stated what age group are only allowed to go outside. Social media has now become the norm for communicating with friends.

We are living in a circumstance that has never occurred before (at least not in our lifetime), and it is affecting everyone of us in a unique way.
