I am also exploring options of certification assistance as well as tuition reimbursement, but those are still in the planning stages. I have put a ballot measure on April 2nd's election to for the purpose of offering more incentives to our staff, including a base salary of $38,000 without the teacher baseline grant."

Springfield family searching for a part-time nanny to help care for their 3 ½ year old boy and 9-year-old girl; both children are gifted, verbally articulate, and curious to explore and learn new things.  The position would require availability from 12:15 PM to 5:45 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays and from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM on Fridays.  Job duties would include transporting children from school and then to and from activities and working with the 3 ½ year old on fine motor skills and reading.  The family’s home and kids’ schools are located on the southeast side of Springfield, close to the intersection of Highway 65 and Highway 60.  A full school-year commitment (mid-August 2024 through mid-May 2025) to the position will be required; compensation will be commensurate with education and experience.  Please send resume to Heather Rooney McBride at heather@rmsattorneys.com.

About Our Family: We are a busy family of four located very close to Missouri State University in the historic Rountree neighborhood in Springfield, MO. We are approximately 2 miles from Drury’s campus and a quick 5 minute drive. Our household includes a lively 4.5 year old pre-K girl, a responsible 14 year old teenage boy, two friendly indoor/outdoor cats, and two lovable dogs. As parents, we both work a combination of remote, in-office, and travel-based jobs. We are seeking a caring and reliable individual to help us with our day-to-day lives.

Job Responsibilities:

● Light housekeeping and clean-up duties (e.g., tidying up toys, dishes, laundry, grocery pickups).

● Pick up children from school and/or transport them to and from school activities 2-3 times per week. They attend Immaculate Conception Pre-K and Central High School. Pickup times are between 3-5pm.

● Transportation to appointments (orthodontist, dentist, school activities, ect).

● Provide evening care for our pre-K daughter and oversight of our teenage son. Including meal preparation typically on Wednesday nights and occasionally one additional night per week.

● Provide occasional overnight care in our home (guest bedroom provided). Qualifications: ● Experience working with young children, particularly in early childhood development.

● Self starter that is tidy, organized and has strong time-management skills.

● Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle (we will provide a car seat and gas per mileage).

● Willing to undergo a background check, with verifiable professional references.

● Absolutely no smoking or vaping.

● The ideal candidate would be able to provide consistent care throughout the calendar year.

Location: Springfield, MO (Rountree Neighborhood - 2 miles from Drury, 5 minute car ride)

Pay: $18 per hour + gas
