<title>My next step is to integrate home languages into my classroom. I know several students in my classrooms who use different languages at home and it could benefit them and their families to receive information in their home language as well as materials and supports that validate their home culture. By incorporating students cultures and languages into the classroom setting, students are exposed to more diverse experiences and feel more connected to their own individual culture as well as understanding the importance of language and culture for their peers.</title>

I see the impacts of a racialized society in my classroom every day, so I want to make sure that I can work against that racialization and work with students in a way that respects them. I plan on looking up Tiffany May to start and reading Culturally Responsive Teaching and the Brain by Zaretta Hammond.</title>
