All of her books that we read have a common theme of "you should always follow your dreams no matter how hard they are".For example in A Single Shard it can be found on page 129 it says "He stood up and squared his shoulders, still clutching the piece of pottery."that implies that he decided to keep going on his quest, in The Kite Fighters you can find on page The character names all reveal something about them for example in A Single Shard, on page 7 "Tree-ear was so called after the mushroom that grew in wrinkled half-circles on dead or fallen tree trunks, emerging from the rotten wood without benefit of parent seed." That fits Tree ear because he is an orphan who has become a successful young man. In the Kite Fighters, Young-sup followed his dreams not his culture, so here is a quote I found," ......... when you next see the King, ask him if he would be so good as to grant my wish for Young-sup to fly the kite at the festival" ( Park 2000) (pg. 71)

The Overall style of Parks books

The overall style of Linda Sue Parks writing is very detailed description. She uses this style while identifying her characters, themes, plot structures , symbolism, points of view, and book chapters and titles. In A Single Shard Park writes "The Sounds and Sights around him were wavering, as if seen and heard through water." That shows how Linda Sue Park uses description and to announce all of the identifications. In When my Name was Keoko, in detail, park explains, ¨The swelling on his face has gone down but the bruises look awful. Dark blue, purple, red, and the biggest one on his cheek bone is greenish yellow around the edges¨, and in Seesaw Girl, it says "She saw them in the dusk, purple-blue this time against the bluer sky." In both of these amazingly written quotes, they explain A LOT of detail with the color explanation added to them. Lastly, in Kite Fighters, it is said that "The immense gates opened wide, and the crowd of onlookers that always seemed to hover around the palace watched in surprise and envy as the three lees were permitted entry¨. The detail in this quotes presents detail in wording and explanation.
