Its cost effective: You can duplicate them as much as you want for free whereas if you want to use normal cards you have to buy as many you plan to give out.

Its fast: It fast to make them by simply taking a template and editing it to your liking.

environmentally friendly: Its environmentally friendly because you don't have to use a lot of paper and you can use renewable sources of electricity as an option 

The only disadvantage I found was that The card you made could be stolen or be accessed unauthorized but its not really a big issue as they might not know that this is private or they are using it privately and that they can use it with credit and AUTH.

These include demonstrating effort on the part of whomever is giving the card, allows for the display of creativity, and allows for one to hold on to memories for extensive periods of time. They are generally considered to allow for an increased emotional connect. 

This is in stark contrast to virtual cards which have few of these characteristics. While virtual cards my be easily created, with minimal time and effort requirements, and allow for easy sharing.
