The regulations that support the special protection required by NNA on the road are presented below:
 The World Health Organization (WHO) affirms that NNA are especially vulnerable actors on the road and, therefore, are subject to special protection.
 The Childhood and Adolescence Code recognizes minors under the age of eighteen as subjects of rights, which include, among others, the right to life, the right to personal integrity and protection rights.
 The Political Constitution of Colombia in its Article 44 emphasizes that the family, society and the State have "the obligation to assist and protect the child to guarantee their harmonious and integral development and the full exercise of their rights."

Accompanied routes are safer as pedestrians become more visible and the perception of safety is higher. Below are the main recommendations to take into account when walking with children and adolescents on educational outings or daily walks:
 Before any outing, identify safe paths and travel distances.
 Assign accompanying adults: For children under 7 years old: 1 adult x 6 children.
For children over 7 years old: 1 adult x 10 children.
Before going on walks, the rules of behavior and the accompanying adults must be defined.
 Properly use safe crossings (zebra, traffic light, platform, etc.) and keep to the right.
Students must wear reflective and conspicuous colored clothing along with a name tag.
Bring a list with the students participating in the outing.
Have the permissions of parents and/or guardians and those required by the territorial entities.
In rural areas, walk in the opposite direction to the vehicles.
Always show solidarity with the most vulnerable pedestrians such as the elderly, people with reduced mobility, etc.
If they walk in a group, it is necessary to do it in single file (one after another).
 Minors must travel holding the hand of responsible adults. One responsible adult should be at the head of the line and one at the tail

The brain and skull of children and adolescents are at a more vulnerable level of development compared to adults.
 Vulnerability increases in the event of a road accident or blow to any part of the body, due to the lack of advanced development of their bone system.
There are no certified helmets for the age, size and physical conditions of all children.
Due to their height, many girls and boys under 10 years of age cannot reach the footrests and this means that they do not have adequate support to move safely.
It also increases the probability of losing balance or injuring yourself with the spokes of the motorcycle rim.
